Dear Friends and Family,

We hope that this greeting finds you and yours in good health & cheer.

We had such good response to our eGreeting last year, and enjoyed doing it so much more than the print variety (not to mention the $$, trees and time savings) that I have decided that this will be our format again this year – probably from now until like, forever…

The boys are writing their own updates this year, so you will get their stories from their own mouths.

I had quite a 2003. I have been studying history at Southern Oregon University in Ashland, but took off the last spring term to begin my 7-year old goal of hiking the entire length of the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada. "So Far" and the entire family had a blast around this great 5-month adventure, and I can't wait to get back out there.

Just before the trail, I also picked up my first real serious girlfriend, Lacie, who managed to stay with me while I was in the woods.

Now I'm scrambling to finish my history degree by June just in time to head off to Europe and further adventures. I'm not planning on ever getting a "real job." Ever. Click here for pix of Scot's year...

This is the big 5-0 year for me, an exciting milestone. I can only hope that the 2nd half is as full of blessings as the first. I've had wonderful family, great adventures, satisfying work, many friends, amazing opportunities, and good health. Had a terrific birthday party with great fun, family, friends, music and dancing.

Highlights of my year include:
Following Scot as he hiked the Pacific Crest Trail. We met Scot, Brit, and so many other interesting characters all along the way, and entertained many in Central Oregon, and in our home. It was my great joy to hike in to meet him at the Canadian border, his destination after hiking over 2500 miles from Mexico.
• Attending Heather and Steve's Napa Valley wedding, and subsequently sharing the magic that is their new son, Cameron, in their new home in Manhattan
• Visiting family and friends in NY, CT and PA
• Having step-daughter Tracey and her beautiful children, Heather, and Scot's girlfriend Lacie visit over Easter

Growing professionally - learning so many new things about creating enewsletters (like this one!) and websites, the mystery of the Internet, photography and computers - getting more involved in our local Chamber of Commerce as a board member, and helping facilitate the Chamber's Leadership program.
• Getting high speed, wireless internet access! WHEEEEEE!!

The tougher parts were:
Brit's totaling of a car (thank God he came out with only a broken ankle)
• The dog's leg surgery and subsequent bonking around with the collar

I am looking forward to:
• Scot's graduation from college in the spring
• Climbing Mt. Hood in the spring
- my way of doing something significant for turning 50.
• Increased growth in our business, learning, learning, learning

The Pets
Houdini - Spunky

Houdini has recovered well from surgery to repair his torn ACL (old football injury) and is hopeful that he will be asked to pull Santa's sleigh this year.

Spunky is back in Lake Oswego after a few months living with Scot in Ashland (in a small apartment with Scot and a dog). He loves to squawk at us. Maybe he should go back to Ashland.

So that's all the news from Lake Oswego, we thank you again for being a part of our lives.

We wish you and yours, and the world, peace and prosperity.

Cheers,

Rebecca, Scot, Brit, Houdini and Spunky
